Sustainability
Keeping our carbon footprint to a minimum
As founder members and active participants in the Flooring Sustainability Partnership, we keep our impact on the environment to a minimum, and reduce it wherever we can.
As a business, we understand the importance of our environmental responsibilities, and the requirements we must follow to ensure a more sustainable way of working. From our sales and estimating teams giving our clients the responsible sourced alternatives, procuring from local suppliers who have the correct accreditations, to our operational teams choosing the correct eco-friendly, low VOC ancillaries.
We provide the critical information that enables us to give our clients full chain of custody and responsible sourced products, with the necessary documentation to gain them their environmental certifications for each project, such as BREEAM, LEED & SKA and all the whilst doing this lowering ours and our client impacts to the environment.
We are FSC and PEFC Accredited, so all of our timber we procure and install is responsibly sourced and less damaging to the environment. We are Gold members of the Supply Chain Sustainability School, meaning our employees all have access to the latest training, guidance and resources when it comes to sustainability. Awareness is also extremely important to us, as we know having competent members of staff enable us to give the competent advice to our clients.
Currently, our Company Administrator is an Associate member of IEMA, who, in the very near future will become a Practitioner. From this training, she is able to assist and guide the company in moving in a more sustainable direction. We have an in-house CITB registered trainer that can offer SEATS training so our site teams are competent in their job role out on site.
We have a strategy in place to reduce our carbon footprint and achieve net carbon zero within an adequate time frame. We are always looking at new ways to develop and innovate on our projects to help us achieve this.
